Our Sunday School department strives to teach our children, teens, and small groups the Biblical principles and foundations at each group’s level.
Show more ▼2 Timothy 2:15 teaches us the importance of studying God’s Word. Our Sunday School department strives to teach our children, teens, and small groups the Biblical principles and foundations at each group’s level. While much of the church world is drifting away from Sunday School classes, we believe that it is a vital part of our ministry. The lessons in each class empower and equip us with the tools needed to evangelize, reinforcing our church theme. Our teachers do a wonderful job making it fun and exciting for our children and youth classes, while our young adults through senior adults get their choice of a class tailor-made for their interests and learning level.
When Jesus stood before Pontius Pilate, the Roman official asked
the question, “What is truth?”
In the turmoil of today, people are still asking the same question. It is all too often that they, like Pilate, ask the question but turn and walk away before receiving the answer. Our Apologetics class meets during our Sunday School session each Sunday morning to answer the tough questions as we prepare ourselves to defend our faith and offer a voice of truth and reason in a world of chaos and lies.
When Thomas told Jesus, "Not only do we not know where you are going, we don't know how to get to where you will be", Jesus replied, "I am the way, the truth, and the life".
Show more ▼In a world that has become more and more determined to define each person's own truth, it is critically important that we know the absolute truth of God's Word. It is the goal of the Fundamentals of the Faith class to connect to God's Word in a way that His absolute truth transforms and guides us always to Jesus. We methodically work through the Bible allowing it to say what it says and mean what it means. It matters not what we think, it only matters what the Word says.
These groups were created for fellowship and fun, a place where we encourage and build one another up.
Show more ▼Secret Sisters is all about fun, friendship, and building unity with the women of BHC. We draw names once a year and give gifts throughout that year to our “Secret Sister.” Just don’t tell anybody who’s name you have! It’s a secret! We also have parties several times a year where we eat, play games, and just enjoy the fellowship. If you are interested in joining, names are redrawn every year at the Mother’s Day party. Bring your mom! Bring your daughters! Bring your sisters! We welcome all the ladies to this party. There is no obligation to join, but we would love to have you come be a part of the Secret Sisters!
We all have our battles, and the devil will try to tell us we’re all alone in the fight. That’s why we started a ladies prayer meeting. When we come together we find out that we all struggle sometimes, and we’re not the only ones in this war. It’s a time where we can lean on one another when we’re down, or pick someone up when we’re strong. We laugh, we cry, and we always leave refreshed. We gather together once a week to pray, and to bear one another’s burdens. All women are welcome to join. Feel free to come share your heart, or to just listen, and be encouraged.
Teaching our teens all about the God who loves them and has created them for a purpose.
Show more ▼The youth group is for those ages
13 - 17. Our Youth Pastor, Bro. Stephen and his wife Sis. Katelyn, work closely with our youth teaching them all about the God who loves them and has created them for a purpose. They meet every Sunday morning for Sunday School and have game nights and special events every so often. They also take several youth trips throughout the year. They are involved in ministering in our main Sunday night service every 3rd Sunday of each month, singing songs and directing the service. We also hear from our teen preachers during those services.
The Young Adult Group was created to focus on those stepping out of their teen years into adulthood.
Show more ▼Often overlooked, but nevertheless a vital age group in our churches today. The Young Adults are in a place where they can work for the Lord in such a way that those with the responsibility of marriage cannot. We want to take those in this stage of life and help them grow, letting God make them strong spiritual leaders in a generation that is falling away. We meet every Sunday morning for Sunday School where we are challenged by teachings from God's Word. We also occasionally meet for game nights and special events where we are encouraged and refreshed in fellowship with one another.
All are welcome to join in our Family Group! A time of fellowship and connecting with one another in a relaxed setting.
Show more ▼Family Game Night is held about once a month. We have food and games along with fun and fellowship. There is a different theme each get together -everything from Board Games to Nerf Wars! We always have a wonderful time so be sure to keep an eye out for the theme announcement on our social media.
Family Fun Day is held once, sometimes twice, each year. It's an all day event with food and games. We hope to see you there!
